eAward 2025: Best Asset Tracking Solution

Digitisation that delivers real savings

On 30 September 2025 in Vienna, Rosenberger Telematics was named winner of the eAward 2025 in the Services & Processes category, awarded by Report Verlag. The recognised solution: Commander’s beacon-based asset tracking module for small and micro devices.

The eAward is one of Austria’s most prestigious technology prizes for digital innovation. The jury cited Commander’s asset tracking as a cost-effective equipment management solution, “a great asset, especially for large-scale projects in the construction sector”, that “promotes transparency and efficiency.”

How the solution works

Small equipment, tools, load carriers, portable devices, is fitted with passive beacons. These transmit only an ID signal. Active telematics units already installed across a fleet or construction site, together with smartphones running the R-BEACON app, form a wide-area receiver network. Detection range: approximately 80 metres per node.

Every sighting is reported to Commander. The platform aggregates the data into a live inventory view: where each item was last seen, how long it has been stationary, which site or vehicle it is associated with. No manual scanning. No clipboard inventories. No lost tools.
