The Telematics Award is one of the most competitive industry prizes in the German-speaking telematics market. In 2024, it drew entries from across the sector. The solution the jury recognised
Passive beacons, attached to containers, tools, load carriers, and small devices, transmit only an identification signal. That signal is detected by a receiver network built from two layers: active telematics units already installed across vehicles and machines, and smartphones running the R-BEACON app. Combined, these create a dense detection grid across any construction site or logistics operation.
The data reaches Commander continuously. Each detection is logged, timestamped, and associated with a location zone. The result: a complete, real-time inventory picture, without dedicated scanning equipment, without manual check-ins, without paper.
