The theme of the 53rd VDBUM Grand Seminar was Shaping Change, and nowhere is change more tangible than in the digitalisation of construction site operations. We were on site at the Sauerland Stern Hotel in Willingen from 11 to 14 February 2025 , where you could visit us at Booth 35 and see our construction telematics solutions for yourself.
The annual VDBUM Grand Seminar is the premier industry gathering for construction machinery professionals in the German-speaking market. It brings together fleet managers, equipment owners, and technology decision-makers for a programme of keynotes, panel discussions, and hands-on exhibitions, making it one of the most important touchpoints for innovation in the sector.
What we showcased
At our booth, visitors explored how Commander gives construction companies complete visibility over their mixed fleets, from tracked excavators and wheel loaders to vans and light commercial vehicles. Key themes included:
- Live telematics data from construction machinery via OEM API integrations (AEMP 2.0 / ISO 15143-3), without requiring additional hardware installation
- Asset tracking for tools, trailers, and equipment, knowing where every asset is, all the time
- Digital logbook and driver management for mixed fleets operating across multiple sites
- Real-time alerts and geofencing to protect assets and manage site access
