Volkswagen Group Integration: Fleet Data via OEM-Sync
Commander connects directly to Volkswagen Group Info Services AG: live vehicle data from six brands, no additional hardware required.
Your fleet data, without fitting a single device
Modern vehicles already generate rich telematics data. The challenge for fleet operators has never been a lack of data. It has been getting that data into the platform where it is useful. That changes today.
Rosenberger Telematics and Volkswagen Group Info Services AG have formalised a strategic partnership to deliver OEM vehicle data directly into Commander: no additional hardware installations, no wiring, no downtime.
Six brands. One integration. Full visibility.
The integration covers all six Volkswagen Group passenger and commercial vehicle brands:
- Volkswagen Passenger Cars
- Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles
- Škoda
- Seat & Cupra
- Audi
Volkswagen Group Info Services AG provides access to over 100 data points per vehicle through a standardised API. Commander receives and processes this data in real time, feeding it into the same dashboards, reports, and alert workflows your team already uses.
What data flows into Commander
The OEM data stream covers the parameters that matter most for active fleet management:
- Current mileage and trip history
- Fuel consumption and fuel level
- Electric vehicle status: battery level, range, charging state
- Vehicle warning messages and fault indicators
- Location data for live mapping and activity reports
This data unlocks, or significantly enriches, the following Commander capabilities: maintenance management, theft alerts, damage management, activity reporting, electric mobility management, and corporate car sharing.
Why this matters for your operations
Fleet operators running mixed OEM fleets no longer face a binary choice between installing hardware on every vehicle or living with data gaps. For leased vehicles, pool cars, or any situation where fitting a device is impractical, OEM-Sync delivers the visibility you need, cleanly, compliantly, and without touching the vehicle.
All data is processed inside Commander’s private cloud infrastructure, hosted at conova communications GmbH in Salzburg, Austria. Full GDPR compliance is maintained throughout.
Christian Meschnig, CEO of Rosenberger Telematics: “We are proud to be the first Austrian telematics provider cooperating with VW Group Info Services. This integration gives our customers a competitive advantage — complete fleet visibility without the hardware dependency.”
Patricia Stich, CEO of Volkswagen Group Info Services: “This collaboration enables practical telematics solutions for fleet operators across Europe.”
