Sophisticated telematics data. Precise booking systems. Detailed trip records. And then, a key box on the wall. For many fleets, physical key handover remains the final, unmanaged step in an otherwise digital workflow.

That gap is now closed. Rosenberger Telematics and Traka have formalised a partnership that connects Commander’s vehicle booking and fleet management capabilities directly with Traka’s digital touch key cabinets.

How the integration works

Commander manages the booking. Employees reserve pool vehicles through the web platform or the R-DRIVE mobile app. At the reserved time, Traka’s key cabinet releases access automatically: the assigned key becomes available only to the authorised user, only during the booked window. At return, the key is logged back in.

Every key transaction is recorded and linked to the corresponding Commander booking record. Who took which vehicle, when, and for how long: fully audited, fully traceable, no manual reconciliation.

The Traka cabinets feature a multilingual touchscreen interface and support contactless access. No administrator involvement required at either end.
